Avoid using rear tips as much as possible:
They are the non-inflatable part of the implant that cause poor cosmetic results and instability of the penis.
They are used when corporotomies are too distal in position, or when a patient falls between implant sizes.
In the case shown, the rear tips were too long and cosmetically unappealing, so they were exchanged. With no rear tips, the penis is much more stable and maintains a greater than 90-degree angle when standing — increasing patient satisfaction considerably.
